Abstract:
In the step of the occurrence of a single cancer cell at the early stage in, for example, the liver of the human body, a protein characteristic to liver cancer is discharged from the caner cell occurring in the liver and dissolved in the blood. To detect this protein characteristic to liver cancer, which has been dissolved in the blood, by using an antigen-antibody reaction, it is necessary to employ a quartz oscillator having an ultrahigh accuracy of 10-18 or higher. It is intended to provide a quartz oscillator to be used as a biosensor whereby the protein characteristic to liver cancer can be detected from the blood or the plasma. In order to minimize measurement errors between a control and a sample, i.e., a specimen to be measured, two or more valleys having a one- or two-step shape are formed on a quartz substrate. Thus, a plural number of oscillation members being completely the same as each other in, for example, environmental factors such as temperature and humidity, surface processing accuracy of a piezoelectric material such as quartz, difference in angle in cut face, the quartz material and frequency can be formed, which makes it possible to compare and measure the control and the specimen at an ultrahigh accuracy.
