Abstract:
The present invention relates to a quenching apparatus which can quickly reverse a flow of a cooling gas flowing inside a chamber. The quenching apparatus comprises: a chamber which has a gas inlet port and a gas outlet port and into which an object is inserted; flow generating means which are provided in a pair, are disposed on both sides of the chamber and generate a flow of the gas inside the chamber; and a flow direction reversing means which is disposed on the chamber and reverses the direction of the flow of the gas such that the gas flows in any direction among a first direction which is from the top to the bottom of the object and a second direction which is from the bottom to the top of the object. Therefore, by means of a simple operation, a flow of a cooling gas flowing inside a chamber can quickly be reversed and thus quenching can more efficiently be performed.
