Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a quenching device, continuous annealing equipment, a quenching method, a method for manufacturing a steel sheet, and a method for manufacturing a plated steel sheet with which it is possible to minimize warpage of a metal sheet after quenching even when warpage is already present in the metal sheet before quenching. The quenching device 1 comprises: a cooling device 10 provided with a plurality of jetting nozzles 12 for spraying a cooling fluid onto the obverse and reverse surfaces of a metal sheet S; and a flow rate adjustment device 30 for setting, on the basis of the shape of the metal sheet S before quenching, the flow rate of the cooling fluid sprayed onto the obverse and reverse surfaces of the metal sheet S from the jetting nozzles 12.
