Abstract:
Unless the terminal of a mating tube is inserted until it reaches a proper perfect joining position, a retainer cannot be pushed in for locking, thereby reliably preventing the quasi-locked state. A control ring member (40) is installed whose inner diameter is equal to or smaller than the diameter of a spool section (30) and is greater than the outer diameter of the mating tube, and which is axially movable in a housing (12) between a control position controlling the movement of a retainer (16) and a control cancellation position. The control ring member (40) is formed with locking bars (42a, 42b) which interfere with the leg of the retainer at the control position to prevent movement of the retainer. When the terminal of the mating tube (14) is inserted in the housing until it reaches the proper joining position, the control ring member (40) moves to the control cancellation position, making the retainer (16) movable.
