Abstract:

The present invention relates to the field of communications. Provided are a quota sharing method and a signaling route device, by which quota sharing can be implemented among multiple users in a scenario in which multiple PCRFs cannot communicate with each other. The method comprises: a signaling route device receives shared information data (indicating sharing relationship information, a correspondence between an identifier of a primary user and a first charging device corresponding to the primary user, a correspondence between an identifier of a sharing user and a second charging device corresponding to the sharing user, and the sharing relationship information indicating that the primary user and the sharing use share a same quota); receive a session establishment request that comes from the sharing user and that is forwarded by a session management gateway; query for the shared information data, and determine, according to the identifier of the sharing user, that a charging device corresponding to the sharing user is the first charging device; and route the session establishment request to the first charging device, so that the first charging device establishes a first session with the signaling route device, and the primary user and the sharing user shares a shared quota.
