Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to prolong the time of contact between a ball and string at the time of hitting the ball. This racket (10) is provided with: a frame (15) across which string is stretched to form a ball hitting face; and a shaft (13) formed between the frame and a grip (12). A joint part (24) for joining the frame and the shaft is formed therebetween. An opening (25) is formed so as to be surrounded by the frame and the shaft, and a region adjacent to the opening is defined as an opening-forming region (26). The joint part has formed therein holes (17) through which string is passed, and also has recessed parts (30) formed at positions which are situated away from the holes and the opening-forming region, and which are on both sides across the thickness-direction center position.
