Title:
RACKETS, ESPECIALLY FOR TENNIS AND SQUASH
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO1988003040
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Hitherto, rackets have to be sent to a workshop equipped with a tensioning machine for stretching their strings. During this time, the player cannot use the racket. This new racket can be stringed and its strings can be stretched by the player himself, without any tensioning machine. Seen from the surface of the network, each string of the racket can be individually set or stretched. The netting (1) is composed of a plurality of separate strings (2, 3) with joining pieces (4; 5; 6) arranged at both their extremities. As abutments for the joining pieces (4; 5; 6), receiving parts (8; 9; 10), mutually spaced by the same distance as the strings (2, 3) from each other, are provided in the frame (7) of the racket head. The racket is suitable for tennis, squash and badminton.
