Abstract:
A radar device (90) according to this disclosure intermittently and repeatedly outputs and transmits a chirp as a radar signal, receives a reflected wave reflected by an object under observation, generates a beat signal from the radar signal and reflected wave, converts the beat signal into digital data, and detects the range and relative speed of the object under observation using a signal processing unit (12). The signal processing unit (12) comprises: a frequency conversion unit (31) for carrying out frequency conversion on the digital data from a period when the radar signal was not being output; a spectrum calculation unit (41) for adding the digital data from the period when the radar signal was being output and the digital data that has been frequency converted by the frequency conversion unit (31) and carrying out a range FFT; a distance/speed spectrum calculation unit (42) for carrying out a Doppler FFT on the first half of the results of the range FFT; and an electromagnetic noise spectrum calculation unit (43) for carrying out a Doppler FFT on the second half of the results of the range FFT.
