Abstract:
A radar device (100) is provided with: a receiving antenna (2) having a plurality of (three, in this example) element antennas (21, 22, 23) which are arranged in the horizontal direction with at least a partial shift in the vertical direction; and a position detecting ECU (5). The position detecting ECU (5) is provided with a first position detecting section (53) which detects a position (P1) of a subject (TG) in the vertical direction, based on phase differences between the receiving signals received by the element antennas (21, 22, 23); and a first position correcting section (54) which corrects the position (P1) based on the history of the position (P1) and obtains a first corrected position (P1A), i.e., a position in the vertical direction after correction. Thus, the position of the object (TG) in the vertical direction is correctly detected.
