Abstract:
A radar device (100) comprises an antenna unit (16) that emits radar waves into a space, a high-frequency circuit (17) that receives reflected waves reflected from a target of the radar waves via the antenna unit (16), and a baseband circuit (18) that converts a transmission signal outputted from the high-frequency circuit (17) to a baseband signal having a digital value. The radar device (100) has a first mode for detecting the target at a relatively long distance, and a second mode for detecting the target at a relatively short distance. Four or more reception channels are configured in the antenna unit (16), the high-frequency circuit (17), and the baseband circuit (18), the number of reception channels that perform the process for conversion to the baseband signal being lower in the second mode than in the first mode, and the speed of the conversion process being higher in the second mode than in the first mode.
