Abstract:
This radar device comprises: a vehicle speed acquisition unit for acquiring the speed of a vehicle; a transmission unit for transmitting a transmission signal toward a region that includes the direction orthogonal to the travel direction of the vehicle; a reception unit for receiving a reflection signal of the transmission signal transmitted by the transmission unit; a pseudo signal generating unit for generating a number of pseudo reception signals that corresponds to the speed of the vehicle acquired by the vehicle speed acquisition unit, on the basis of the reflection signal received by the reception unit; and a distance detection unit for detecting the distance to an object that is present in the direction orthogonal to the travel direction of the vehicle, on the basis of the pseudo reception signal generated by the pseudo signal generating unit.
