Abstract:
This radar image processing device comprises: an estimation unit 1 that, for each of the pixels of interest consisting of each pixel of a two-dimensional map image, estimates the type of the pixel, that is, whether the pixel is a main lobe pixel, side lobe pixel, or other pixel; a pixel value substitution unit 2 that generates a first corrected image by substituting the pixel values of the main lobe pixels and the pixel values of the side lobe pixels with pixel values generated through pixel value interpolation processing based on the pixel types estimated for each pixel by the estimation unit 1; a speckle noise suppression unit 3 that generates a second corrected image by applying speckle noise suppression processing to the first corrected image; and an output image generation unit 4 that uses the two-dimensional map image, second corrected image, and pixel types to generate an output image in which speckle noise and side lobes have been suppressed.
