Abstract:
A radial foil bearing (3) comprises a bearing housing (12) having an insertion hole (12a) through which a shaft is inserted, a back foil (11) disposed in the inner peripheral surface of the insertion hole (12a), a top foil (9) supported on the back foil (11), and a protrusion (40) that protrudes inward along the diameter of the insertion hole (12a) from the inner peripheral surface of the insertion hole (12a) and that is capable of supporting the top foil (9).
