Abstract:
A radial impact test method for wheels comprises the following steps: mounting a tire on a wheel at a temperature of 10°C to 30°C, and inflating the tire to 200kPa; mounting a wheel tire assembly onto a support system, and adjusting the impact position; selecting impact height and impact mass after calculating impact energy; releasing a heavy hammer to create an impact; examining deformation and cracking after the impact process; evaluating whether the wheel passes the test on the basis of the deformation and cracking.
