A radial protection system for a magnetic levitation bearing comprises a first component (1), a second component (2), a seat body (3), and a ball bearing (4). The first component is a structural member made from a soft material. The second component is a structural member made from a hard material. Both the first component and the second component are used to absorb radial impact and deform. A through-hole (31) is provided on the seat body. The first component is annular, and the first component is detachably fixedly mounted on the seat body. The first component is coaxial with the through-hole. The second component comprises a first ring (21). The first ring is mounted in the first component, and an outer ring wall of the first ring is closely attached to an inner ring wall of the first component. The ball bearing is mounted in the first ring, and an outer ring wall of the ball bearing is closely attached to an inner ring wall of the first ring. The diameter of an inner ring hole of the ball bearing is less than that of the through-hole. The radial protection system for a magnetic levitation bearing has high rigidity and high damping, receives and cushions radial impact better, and is reliable.
