Abstract:
The present invention relates to a radial tire having a cap ply manufactured with a polyethylene terephthalate dip cord. The radial tire comprises: a pair of parallel bead cores; at least one radial carcass ply wound around the bead cores; a cap ply layer layered on the outer circumference of the carcass ply; and a circumferential cap ply reinforcing layer formed on the outer circumference of the cap ply layer, wherein the cap ply comprises a dip cord manufactured using, in the form of 1 or 2 ply, a yarn of 500-2,000 denier manufactured with a polyethylene terephthalate yarn, and a 1000d/2 dip cord thereof has a twist number of 200-400 TPM and is two-bath dipped at 160-240°C.
