Abstract:
Provided is a radiation emission device equipped with: a metal target that, when an electron beam is emitted thereto, radiates bremsstrahlung X-rays as radiation beams; a radiation blocking body which has a slit-shaped radiation transmission part, and which is disposed downstream in the radiating direction of the radiation beams from the metal target so that some of the radiation beams pass through the radiation transmission part, and radiation beams incident to regions other than the radiation transmission part are blocked; and an electron beam generation device that emits, to the metal target, an electron beam such that the diameter of the point of generation of the radiation beams radiated is shorter than the length of the entrance part of the radiation transmission part in the longitudinal direction.
