Abstract:

Provided is a radiation image forming device comprising a Compton camera which includes: a radiation detection device that includes a plurality of pixels for detecting electrons produced due to the flight path of recoil electrons in Compton scattering and that outputs a detection signal with which specifiable are the position of the pixels which detected the electrons and the time at which the electrons were detected by the pixels; and a detection module that detects the incidence position of scattered γ rays produced due to Compton scattering. The radiation image forming device also comprises a detection unit in which a plurality of the Compton cameras are disposed in an annular manner so as to surround a region where a subject is disposed.
