Abstract:
Each of a plurality of comparators that are provided so as to correspond respectively to a plurality of detection elements in a detector that converts incident radiation energy to first electrical signals outputs a second electrical signal if the value of the corresponding first electrical signal is greater than or equal to a threshold. At a first point in time, a threshold control unit supplies, to each comparator, a threshold having a first value, and at a second point in time that is different from the first point in time, the threshold control unit supplies, to each comparator, a threshold having a second value. A plurality of counters provided so as to correspond respectively to the plurality of comparators count the abovementioned second electrical signals. A wave-height frequency-distribution creation unit uses the respective counts from the plurality of counters to create a wave-height frequency distribution for radiation. This makes it possible to increase the density and decrease the power consumption of a radiation-measuring device.
