Abstract:

A radio access network is provided with a storage means for storing data to be transferred from a base station to a mobile station, receives information indicating the strength of the signal received from the base station by the mobile station if the strength thereof falls below a threshold, and calculates, if a receiving means receives a plurality of pieces of the information, the amount of data which can be transferred to the mobile station before communication becomes impossible with the mobile station on the basis of the information and the time at which the information has been received and transfers the data not more than the amount of the data calculated to the mobile station.
