Abstract:
This radio access network (RAN) node (1) receives, from a core network (4), a first control message (201) that includes a first information element relating to a radio terminal (3). The first information element indicates at least one of the following: the volume of data that can be used by the radio terminal (3); and whether or not one or both of carrier aggregation and dual connectivity are required by the radio terminal (3), or whether or not one or both of carrier aggregation and dual connectivity are permitted in the radio terminal (3). This feature can, for example contribute to providing, to a RAN node, information that is useful for determining whether or not carrier aggregation (CA), dual connectivity (DC), or handovers are required by a radio terminal.
