Abstract:
It is possible to provide a radio communication terminal, a handoff method in
the radio communication terminal, and a radio communication system which can
suppress the affect of an instantaneous disconnection in a hard handoff. The
radio communication terminal (10) includes a control unit (12) which executes
a radio communication by switching a frequency to be used by a communication unit
(11). When the control unit (12) receives a search request which requests a
capture of a handoff candidate frequency during a transmission of data formed
by a plurality of continuous packets, the control unit (12) waits for completion
of the transmission of the packets being transmitted. When the transmission
is complete, the control unit (12) executes an inter-packet search process which
controls the communication unit (11) to stop transmission of the subsequent
packets and perform capture by switching from the currently used frequency to
the handoff candidate frequency.
