A radio communication terminal that improves coefficient of utilization of the whole radio communication network and that can effectively perform even a delivery of a large amount of data, such as streaming delivery. When a radio communication terminal (100) receives and utilizes stream data, a main controller (120) monitors the level (LB) of a received radio wave from a receiving part (103). When this level becomes equal to or less than a predetermined level, the main controller (120) controls a frequency synthesizer (105), thereby controlling the reception frequency to be applied to a receiving part (103) so as to receive radio waves from a plurality of near base stations and output radio waves having a received-radio-wave level higher than the predetermined level, while searching for a base station delivering the target stream data to select that base station on a priority basis.
