Abstract:
It is desirable to decide a data rate in accordance with a condition. A control unit
(30) transmits a rate request signal to a radio device to be communicated in accordance
with a variable data rate to provide information on the data rate, at a certain
frequency. Moreover, the control unit (30) receives rate information from the
radio device to be communicated. According to the information on the data rate
contained in the rate information, the control unit (30) sets the data rate when
transmitting data. Furthermore, the control unit (30) identifies the reliability
degree of the data rate contained in the rate information. I f the reliability
is low, the control unit (30) lowers the frequency of transmission of the rate
request signal.
