Abstract:
A radio receiving apparatus for substantially A/D converting an RF signal to allow the reception process to be performed by use of digital signal process. A bandpass A/D converter (4) performs an A/D conversion of a received signal of a desired channel frequency (Fchi) included in an RF signal (SRF). A bandpass filter provided in the bandpass A/D converter (4) is configured to have a center frequency (Fcv), which is lower than the channel frequency (Fchi), and also have a passband width (BW) centered at the center frequency (Fcv) and corresponding to the signal frequency bandwidth of the received signal. A local oscillation part (8) supplies, to the bandpass A/D converter (4), a local oscillation signal (Svco) having a local oscillation frequency (Fvco) lower than the channel frequency (Fchi) by the center frequency (Fcv). The bandpass A/D converter (4) then uses the local oscillation frequency (Fvco) as a sampling frequency to perform an A/D conversion of the RF signal (SRF).
