Abstract:
A radio remote unit and a base station system are provided. The radio remote unit includes
active modules and passive modules. The active modules are located on an active
part and the passive modules are located on a passive part. The active part and
the passive part are provided independently and connected through pluggable connectors.
Because the passive part is more reliable than the active part, it is no need to
detach the whole radio remote unit when the active part is maintained, which makes
the maintenance conveniently, quick and inexpensive, and improves the reliability
of the operation of the base station.
