Provided are a radio transmitter apparatus, a radio receiver apparatus, a radio transmission method and a radio reception method wherein the degradation of gain of encoding can be suppressed even in a case of performing LBRM. If the number of retransmissions outputted by a number-of-retransmissions determining unit (107) is less than a predetermined number of retransmissions outputted by a control unit (106), then a to-be-transmitted area transmission determining unit (108) selects an arbitrary RV and sets the transmission of a to-be-transmitted area to OFF. If the number of retransmissions is equal to or greater than the predetermined number of retransmissions, then the to-be-transmitted area transmission determining unit (108) selects RV = 3 and sets the transmission of the to-be-transmitted area to ON. A rate matching unit (112) derives data from a circular buffer the position of which is indicated by an RV outputted by the to-be-transmitted area transmission determining unit (108), and outputs the derived data to a scrambling unit (113). When notified by the to-be-transmitted area transmission determining unit (108) that the transmission of the to-be-transmitted area has been set to ON, the rate matching unit (112) derives data from the position indicated by the RV = 3. When having derived, to the end, the data of the circular buffer of the area that is not transmitted by LBRM, the rate matching unit (112) derives data from the forefront.
