Abstract:
This radioactive-substance adsorbent is made of a fiber material, and a metallophthalocyanine compound is carried in the fiber material. The metallophthalocyanine compound preferably is a copper phthalocyanine dye or a copper phthalocyanine pigment. The fiber material is a non-woven fabric preferably made of a cellulosic fiber and/or a polyester fiber, and more preferably made of a polyester fiber. The cellulose-based fiber is preferably a rayon fiber having a primary degree of swelling of 150 to 500%. The textile good includes the radioactive-substance adsorbent. This method for manufacturing a radioactive-substance adsorbent involves impregnating or coating a fiber material with a solution including a metallophthalocyanine compound or a dispersion including a metallophthalocyanine compound, so that the fiber material can carry the metallophthalocyanine compound.
