Abstract:

[Problem] To enable effective elimination of quantum noise included in a radiographic image while taking into consideration the thickness of a subject's body. [Solution] A radiographic image is acquired that is picked up by irradiating a subject (M) with radiation. A body thickness information acquisition unit (22) acquires body thickness information regarding the subject (M). The body thickness information may be acquired by analyzing the radiographic image. On the basis of the body thickness information, a noise elimination unit (23) eliminates quantum noise included in the radiographic image through a filtering process that uses a smoothing filter, for example.
