Abstract:
In the present invention, a radiography system (10) performs Fourier transform on a radiographic image that contains a periodic pattern which has been modulated in accordance with a subject, and thereby acquires the spatial frequency spectrum of the radiographic image; sets a spatial frequency region of interest that includes a spatial frequency component of interest that corresponds to the period of a periodic pattern from the spatial frequency spectrum; and performs reverse Fourier transform on the spatial frequency region of interest to generate a phase contrast image for the subject. Elements are set so that a peak frequency of those non-interest components of the spatial frequency spectrum that originate in pick-up elements that are involved in the acquisition of radiographic images is apart from the spatial frequency region of interest.
