Abstract:
Provided is a system that makes it possible to monitor the robustness and production amount of radionuclides while continuing production in radionuclide production using an electron beam accelerator. This radionuclide production system comprises an electron beam accelerator, a target that receives an electron beam radiated from the electron beam accelerator and emits bremsstrahlung, and a radionuclide production unit arranged in the direction of travel of the bremsstrahlung. The radionuclide production system additionally comprises: a gamma ray detector for detecting, in the vicinity of the production unit, gamma rays discharged from radionuclides (raw material nuclides, produced nuclides, and descendant nuclides thereof) included in the radionuclide production unit; and a state evaluation unit that determines the state of the radionuclide production unit using the output of the gamma ray detector.
