A rail vehicle and an underframe thereof. The underframe comprises a bolster and two side beams arranged in parallel. The bolster is transversely and fixedly connected between the two side beams. Each connecting end position of the bolster is provided with a vertical shock absorber mounting seat and a snaking-resistant shock absorber mounting seat, the two of which are arranged longitudinally and are located on both sides of the bolster. Both the vertical shock absorber mounting seat and the snaking-resistant shock absorber mounting seat are fixedly connected to the bolster and the side beam at the corresponding end. Thus, the force at connection positions between the bolster and the side beams can be greatly relieved while the mounting of the vertical shock absorber and snaking-resistant shock absorber is implemented; moreover, the concentration of stress can be avoided, thus the weight of the bolster can be reduced while the connection strength of the bolster is increased, and lightweight configuration requirements for a vehicle are met.
