Abstract:

This railroad car air-conditioning apparatus comprises: a plurality of refrigerant circuits which are each configured of a compressor, a first heat exchanger, a throttle device, and a second heat exchanger which are connected by piping; an inverter which is connected to an auxiliary power supply of the railroad car, and which controls the frequency of the compressor; a switching unit which performs switching between a wiring connection for supplying power to the compressor through the inverter and a wiring connection for directly supplying power to the compressor from the auxiliary power supply; and a control device which, controls the switching operation of the switching unit so that wiring for directly supplying power from the auxiliary power supply to the compressor of at least one of the plurality of refrigerant circuits is connected.
