Abstract:
The present invention reduces aerodynamic sound generated from a bogie in addition to wheel rolling noises and wind noises emanating from brake discs, and reduces the amount of snow clinging to the bogie from snow which has accumulated on a track in winter, while ensuring traveling stability, curving performance when traveling through a curved section, and safety without introducing restrictions on the dimensions and arrangement of the components of the bogie. This railroad car bogie 1 includes a bogie frame 2, axle boxes 4 supported by the bogie frame 2, and wheel sets 3 supported by the axle boxes 4. For example, covers 13 which each cover both ends of the wheel sets 3 on the inside of the bogie frames 2 and cover the front and rear ends of a bogie 1 in the vehicle traveling direction are mounted to the bogie 1.
