Abstract:
This railroad car vibration damping device (V) comprises: an actuator (A) which can be brought into an unloaded state while a pump (12) is driven by a motor (15); an acceleration sensor (40) which is installed in a vehicle body (B) and detects the lateral acceleration of the vehicle body (B); and a controller (C) which controls the actuator (A) on the basis of the acceleration. When bringing the actuator (A) into an unloaded state while driving the motor (15), an offset value for canceling the drift component included in the output value of the acceleration sensor (40) is measured.
