Abstract:
A railroad tie comprises: a railroad tie main body having a top surface on which a rail is disposed, and a bottom surface facing the ground contact surface, a plurality of embedding holes being formed passing from the top surface to the bottom surface; and a plurality of embedding plugs, at least some of which are disposed in the embedding holes. Each embedding hole has a large-width hole section in the bottom part thereof. The large-width hole sections of the plurality of embedding holes are separated from each other. The embedding plugs each have a threaded part, and a flange part provided at the bottom end of the threaded part and disposed in the large-width hole section. The inner circumferential surface of each large-width hole section comprises a latching portion into which the flange part latches when the embedding plug is rotated about the center axis line of the threaded part.
