Abstract:
A railroad vehicle body structure having improved external appearance, capable of being manufactured with improved accuracy and efficiency, and having high recyclability.
A railroad vehicle body structure provided with: a metal side outer plate (2) having openings (2b-2d) formed therein; metal lateral beam members (3) joined to the inner surface of the side outer plate (2) and extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle; metal vertical beam members (4) joined to the inner surface of the side outer plate (2) and extending in the top-bottom direction of the vehicle; and carbon fiber reinforced resin members (5A-5D) joined to the inner surface side of the side outer plate (2) at predetermined portions including the corner portions of the peripheral edges (2f-2h) which define the openings (2b-2d) or including a portion between each adjacent pair of vertical beam members (4).
