Abstract:
To provide a railroad vehicle provided with an engine and a power generator, the railroad vehicle capable of reducing the power consumption and increase in weight while securing air for cooling the engine and the power generator as well as reducing the vehicle exterior noise. A railroad vehicle provided with an engine (60) and a power generator (70), wherein a sound insulation plate (330) is formed into the substantially L shape in plan view, the L shape consisting of a planar section disposed in the vehicle lateral direction toward the inside of the vehicle from a louver window (24) which is an opening in a vehicle body, and a planar section disposed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle from an end of the former planar section inside the vehicle. The sound insulation plate significantly attenuates the propagation of noise to the outside of the vehicle and constitutes an air passage. An air filter (310) and a silencer (320) are each formed into the substantially L shape in plan view, the L shape consisting of a planar section disposed in the longitudinal direction toward the inside of the vehicle from a partition wall (26A), and a planar section disposed in the vehicle lateral direction toward the louver window (24) from an end of the former planar section inside the vehicle. The air permeability of the air filter and the silencer allows air to be supplied to an air supply filter (62) and attenuates the propagation of noise.
