Abstract:
Provided is a railroad vehicle in which a fresh air damper of a fresh air intake port provided in an air conditioner can be opened and closed in accordance with rain without increasing manufacturing cost. The railroad vehicle has a wiper device that wipes deposits on the outer side of a window glass, a fresh air damper that opens and closes an introduction path through which fresh air is introduced from the outside to the inside of the vehicle, an air conditioning control microcomputer that controls the opening and closing actions of the fresh air damper, and vehicle body wiring that transmits information about the operation of the wiper device to the air conditioning control microcomputer. The air conditioning control microcomputer determines whether the wiper device is operating on the basis of information from the wiper device, and closes the fresh air damper upon determining that the wiper device is operating.
