Abstract:
Provided are a railway equipment monitoring device and railway equipment monitoring system capable of suppressing influence from changes in external environmental conditions and displaying the state of a pantograph so as to be easy for observer monitoring personnel to see. This railway equipment monitoring device 1 comprises: a stereo camera 11 that comprises two cameras (11a, 11b) and is for capturing images of a pantograph 9 that is a subject, a camera rotation and holding unit 12 for rotatably holding the stereo camera 11, and a control and calculation unit 10 for making the stereo camera 11 shift to each prescribed rotation angle, generating a distance image of the pantograph 9 from the captured images obtained at each rotation angle, and determining the angle by which the camera rotation and holding unit 12 is to rotate the stereo camera 11 on the basis of the distance image of the pantograph.
