Abstract:
A railway management system (1) is characterized by including first wireless terminals (12-a-1 to 12-d-1 and 12-a-2 to 12-d-2) that are provided corresponding to each of a plurality of track numbers (11-a to 11-d) and that are installed at end portions of platforms of corresponding track numbers (11), second wireless terminals (14-a, 14-b) that are installed at an end portion of a train (13) and that perform communication with the first wireless terminals (12-a-1 to 12-d-1 and 12-a-2 to 12-d-2) using ultra-wideband wireless signals, a distance estimating unit that estimates distance between each of a plurality of the first wireless terminals (12-a-1 to 12-d-1) and the second wireless terminal (14-b) using ultra-wideband wireless signals, and a track number detecting unit that detects the track number (11-b) to which the train (13) will enter, on the basis of estimation results from the distance estimating unit.
