Abstract:
A railway vehicle body is provided with: side structures which are each divided into side modules in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body; and a floor structure to which the lower ends of the side structures are joined. The side modules each include: a first module; a second module which is disposed at a distance from the first module in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body; and a third module which is mounted straddling the first module and the second module in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body and is joined to the first module and the second module. The lower ends of the first module and the second module are joined to the floor structure so as to face the floor structure. The lower end of a region of the third module, the region being located between the first module and the second module in a side view, faces the floor structure and is more free relative to the floor structure than the lower ends of the first module and the second module. The third module is supported by the floor structure through the first module and the second module.
