Abstract:
A rain sheltering apparatus. The rain sheltering apparatus is mounted on a streetlight and comprises a rain sheltering element (1) and a lifting/lowering mechanism. The lifting/lowering mechanism is connected to a light pole of the streetlight. The rain sheltering element (1) is connected to the lifting/lowering mechanism so as to be lifted or lowered by the lifting/lowering mechanism to a rain sheltering position or a non-rain sheltering position. The rain sheltering apparatus, by means of the rain sheltering element (1) provided on the streetlight, provides the streetlight with a rain sheltering function, and is capable of providing a rain sheltering area for a pedestrian walking on a road on a rainy day, thus preventing an accident from occurring as a result of the pedestrian scurrying in the rain. Meanwhile, the rain sheltering element (1) is mounted on the streetlight via the lifting/lowering mechanism, when it is necessary to provide a rain shelter to a pedestrian on a rainy day, the lifting/lowering mechanism moves downward over a certain distance to allow the rain sheltering element (1) to reach the rain sheltering position, thus sheltering the pedestrian from the rain being blown by wind; when it is not necessary to provide the rain shelter to a pedestrian on a sunny day, the lifting/lowering mechanism moves upwards over a certain distance to allow the rain sheltering element (1) to reach the non-rain sheltering position, thus preventing vandalism.
