Abstract:
The present invention relates to a localized heavy rain prediction system, and more particularly, to a rainfall pattern-responsive real-time localized heavy rain prediction system which predicts a rainfall amount that causes heavy rain by means of an ensemble model using a plurality of numerical forecast models, and applies weights to ensemble model members having similar rainfall amount patterns according to the type of localized heavy rain so as to make the prediction of the rainfall amount, thus enabling accurate prediction of the rainfall amount that causes heavy rain regardless of the various types of heavy rain.
