Abstract:
A raised floor system with cable management comprises flooring elements (4) on supports (3). An array of elongate spars (20) is supported by the supports (3) below the flooring elements (4). Each of the spars (20) is formed with a group of transverse slots (21) for data cables, a group of transverse slots (22) for power cables, and a larger slot (23) to accept water pipes or other larger items. Each of the slots (21) opens into a face of the spar (20) and comprises two portions (211, 212) that are relatively wide and narrow such that, in use, a cable introduced into the slot (21) from above passes through the narrow portion (212) to enter the wide portion (211). The slots (22 and23) are of a similar configuration. The array of spars (20) may facilitate installation of the raised floor system, in addition to providing cable management.
