Abstract:
The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a random access failure processing method, comprising: if the number of times a random access preamble is sent to a base station is greater than a preset number of times, then determining the cell and carrier used for sending said preamble; if the cell used for sending the preamble is a primary cell configured with an SUL carrier and a non-SUL carrier, and if the carrier used for sending the preamble is a non-SUL carrier, then transmitting to the base station, by means of the SUL carrier, a message that there is a problem with random access. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, in a case where it is determined that there is a problem with the non-SUL carrier of a primary cell, the primary cell having been configured with a SUL carrier and the performance of an SUL carrier generally being superior to that of a non-SUL carrier, then when the SUL carrier has a problem, the SUL carrier may not have a problem; therefore the SUL carrier may be used to transmit a message to the base station that there is a problem with random access, so as to ensure that the base station is capable of receiving the problem promptly and resolving it in a timely manner.
