Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a random access preamble configuration method suitable for a satellite network, and a communication device. According to the method, the position offset of a random access preamble and the duration of a physical random access channel (PRACH) transmission time can be flexibly configured according to the characteristics of a satellite system. The method comprises: a receiving device receives first indication information, the first indication information comprising indication information used for identifying the position offset of a random access preamble in a PRACH transmission time; the receiving device transmits a random preamble according to the first indication information, wherein the random preamble comprises a sequence part and a guard interval. Because in a satellite communication system, the communication distance is long and the transmission delay difference between users is large, the use of the method can reduce time domain resources occupied by a PRACH transmission time as much as possible.
