Abstract:
The present invention provides a random access report method executed by a user equipment, and a user equipment. The random access report method executed by a user equipment comprises: a media access control (MAC) layer executes a random access process; the MAC layer indicates a random access type corresponding to the random access process to a radio resource control (RRC) layer; the RRC layer sends a random access channel (RACH) report corresponding to the random access process to a network side, the RACH report containing a random access type information element. Hence, a more refined RACH report containing information related to a random access type is implemented, so that the RACH performance and coverage are improved.
