Title:
RANGE DETERMINING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/041372
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle range determining device that can prevent the shift range from being undetermined during shifting, even with an automatic transmission provided with no manual valves. The range determining device is used for an automatic transmission provided with a planetary gear shifting mechanism that transmits the output torque of a drive source and multiple frictionally engaged elements, the operating state of which being switched between an engaged state and a disengaged state, whereby shifting is realized by the torque transmission path of the gear shifting mechanism being switched according to the operating state of the multiple frictionally engaged elements, and the device determines the actual shift range based on the operating state. In the device, a T-ECU (4) determines the current shift range based on sensing results from an oil pressure sensor and previously stored operating patterns when not shifting.
