Abstract:
Disclosed is a range extension control system of a range extended electric vehicle, wherein the operation of a fuel injector and an ignition coil are controlled dynamically by an engine controller; according to a current adjustment torque (r1), dragging torque (r2) and combustion torque (r3) of the engine, and an engine crankshaft target torque (r4), the engine controller calculates an external torque request (r5) in advance and sends the torque request to a range extension controller; and in response to the external torque request (r5), the range extension controller and a generator/electric motor control the rotation speed of the engine by means of controlling the torque balance of the crank shaft such that the actual rotation speed output from the range extension control system is consistent with the target rotation speed. The range extension control system of the range extended electric vehicle is able to control the rotation speed output from the range extension control system without the help of an electronically-controlled throttle valve. The engine can adopt a throttleless intake mode, the control logic of the engine controller is simple, and the type of controller to be used can be that of a single-cylinder or dual-cylinder motorcycle engine or an economic engine so as to maximize the cost benefits.
